The Buenos Aires office of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), through its Espacio Cultural OEI, invites visual artists to submit exhibition projects with the goal of participating in its 2017 calendar. Open until December 30, the call invites artists to submit proposals that reflect the diversity of artistic and cultural expressions found in Ibero-America. Proposals may be submitted in the following manners: 1.By an email sent to espacioculturaloei@oei.org.ar with the subject: "Convocatoria 2017." Presentations must be sent in a single PDF file. The attached file must be named in the following manner: last name_name.pdf. 2.Delivered in person or by mail to Paraguay 1514, CP1061ABD, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the following information written on them: "Convocatoria 2017 Espacio Cultural OEI, with the participant's name and the name of the project submitted. The call is open to visual artists over the age of 18. The call aims at evaluating exhibition projects that favor two-dimensional formats in photography, drawing, painting, engraving and illustration, with the option of incorporating artist's books, small sculptures or intervened objects. Individual or collective works are accepted. Candidates may center their proposals on any theme they like as long as such themes are in line with the strategic objectives established by the Espacio Cultural OEI, including: the strengthening of identity, the construction of peace, the accumulation of knowledge that leads to freedom, solidarity and the defense of human rights. In addition to the proposals, each candidate must submit personal information, a written description of the work, Curriculum Vitae, and visual material of the proposal, among other documents. The projects selected will be shown at the exhibition space of the Espacio Cultural OEI, between the months of February and December of 2017.
