Through its Cultural Program, the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (CCB) drives the development of cultural industries as it offers spaces and access to culture to the public. With the call ArteCámara "Young Artists Research Project," the CCB makes a significant contribution to the open participation of young artists in the cultural development of our society as it offers them important incentives to develop the production of new works, visibility, and commercially viable opportunities. The call is open to national and international artists under the age of 35 who reside in Colombia. The works may cover any theme and may be approached through any media. Candidates must download the application form that is available at
www.artboonline.com. The completed application form must be submitted along with the C.V., photocopy of the applicant¿s ID, 2 labeled CDs that contain the portfolio of works in the format established in the call¿s rules. The documents must be received before 5 PM on July 15, 2011, at the following address: Avda. El Dorado No. 68D-35, Piso 1, Santiago Rueda will be in charge of the Artecámara curatorship. The finalists will be announced during the first week of August of 2011. The selected projects will be exhibited in the Artecámara Pavillion at the Bogota International Art Fair (ArtBo), from October 21 through October 24, 2011. Photos and texts from the exhibition will be included in the fair¿s official catalog. The finalists will also be evaluated by the committee of curators of the Artecámara permanent network of exhibition halls and, if accepted, they will be showcased in a personal exhibition at the CCB to be scheduled in 2012.
