The Artists in Residence Program of the ARCUS Project announces its call for emerging artists from any country in the world, except Japan, to participate.

Applicants must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to effectively interact and communicate with the persons involved in the process. They must submit their general information—C.V., essays, images, and any additional material—no later than May 7, 2013.

The candidates selected will be entitled to a program that will last one hundred days—between September and December—each offered with financial aid and logistic support, including a 67.5 square meter air conditioned studio that is internet ready with telephone and fax lines for local calls, a round-trip ticket—for artists who do not live in Japan—600,000.00 Yens (US $6,300.00 approx.) for living and project related expenses, insurance and 3 advisors to coordinate the project.

During its 19 years of existence, the ARCUS Project has invited 85 artists from 27 countries and supported their projects and researches during their residencies.
