Opening of the 2025 Fundación Ama Amoedo Grant Call

The Fundación Ama Amoedo is pleased to announce the opening of the call for the third edition of its 2025 grants, aimed at strengthening the artistic ecosystem and supporting initiatives that enrich the contemporary art scene. A total of ten grants of 10,000 USD will be available in four categories: Artists, Art and Social Engagement, Organizations, and Publications. These grants are intended for artists, artistic collectives, art professionals, non-profit organizations, institutions, and foundations with a strong connection to Latin America.

Applications will be open from July 7 to August 31, 2025, and may be submitted in Spanish, Portuguese, or English through the Foundation’s online platform.

The 2025 Jury

A committee of distinguished curators and art experts will evaluate the proposals. Among them are:

●Marielsa Castro Vizcarra, curator and current Chief Curator at the Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín. Her work focuses on the intersection of pedagogy and curatorial practice, with a distinguished career at museums such as Museo Jumex and Banco de la República.

●Verónica Flom, Director of the Ama Amoedo Foundation. Art historian and curator, with experience in institutions like the Museum of Art of the Americas and the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.

●José Roca, Colombian curator and current Estrellita B. Brodsky Curator of Latin American Art at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington. With an extensive international career, he has served as Artistic Director of the Sydney Biennale and curator at Tate and FLORA ars+natura.

●Susanna V. Temkin, Interim Chief Curator at El Museo del Barrio in New York. Holding a PhD in Art History, she has worked on major exhibitions at El Museo del Barrio and Americas Society.
