Ángel Loochkartt is a drawer, engraver and painter from the Escuela de Bellas Artes of the Universidad del Atlántico. He has exhibited in Italy, France, the US, Mexico and Colombia. Loochkartt belongs to the artistic current known as Colombian Expressionism. His work consists of large erotic angels, referents to the Barranquilla Carnival (congos, marimondas), travesties and beings from the night, along with an exhaustive exploration of the faces of reality.
From June 19 to July 19 of this year, Espacio 2—Arte Contemporáneo in the city of Santiago Cali, Colombia—in collaboration with COLOMBIArtística in France, paid tribute and celebrated Ángel Loochkartt's artistic trajectory and production.
A Look at the Work by Loochkart is an exhibition that also allows several other Colombian and international artists to contribute a retrospective gaze at the work of the Master from Barranquilla, with works that for an entire month accompanied the exhibition in his honor in the San Fernando neighborhood in Cali.
