El Altillo del Arte opened its doors in recent days with the goal of permanently exploring the visual arts world by training, sharing, and developing experiences that allow its participants to learn and grow in a quest for excellence based on design, conceptualization, creativity, technique, and knowledge. "Also present in this space will be the gallery of art, an academic artistic-visual education, seminars and conferences centered on history, artistic disciplines and curatorial studies, roundtables, exchanges and talks; as well as tastings of wine, coffee, chocolate, spirits, and all other things that are part of the sybarites' world and culture. All this in the context of a space that offers an unmatched view of the city and that was conceived to encourage creation, learning, and dreaming." El Altillo del Arte offers a comfortable coffee bar—"Jazz Wine and Blues"—as well as a space for leisure and cultural activities. The space opened its doors with the exhibition titled "Images to tell" by artists Mario Opazo and Ramón Uribe. It was curated and supervised by Ricardo Arcos-Palma, permanent advisor of the space, with the assistance of permanent curator and gallerist Lorena Parada.
