The Al Zur-ich Urban Art Encounter is produced by the Tranvía Cero Contemporary Art Collective. The event calls on national and international creators to develop artistic projects inside 10 neighborhoods in Quito¿s southern area for a period of 3 months. Creators of any nationality and discipline can participate. Being an artist or having an academic degree in art is not a requirement. The event will take place from September 1¿23, 2008. The competition will award each of the 10 selected projects with US $500, and a catalog will be published with the account of the Sixth International Urban Art Encounter in April, 2009.
