Adriano Pedrosa was selected for the position of new Head Curator of the Museu de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) only days after Heitor Martins became President of the institution. Pedrosa will be supported by a team of three Associate Curators who will replace the previous team headed by Texeira Coelho. Pedrosa is one of the most prominent and influential Latin American curators recognized at the international level. He has been part of the team of curators in the São Paulo Biennial (24th and 27th editions), the Istanbul Biennial (2011), and the San Juan Poly/Graphic Triennial in Puerto Rico (2009). Pedrosa's appointment, along with the new directorship of the MASP, responds to a search to recover the institutional reputation of the Museum and to transform it into an important museum in Latin America.
