The Fundación Montenmedio Arte Contemporáneo NMAC de Vejer de la Frontera (Cadiz), has been showing for a couple of days now one of the pieces from the sculptural installation titled La Inocencia de los Animales (The Innocence of Animals) by Argentinean artista Adrián Villar-Rojas (Rosario, 1980). On loan from the JJ Foundation in Luxemburg, the work was exhibited in 2013 at MoMA PS1 in New York, as part of the exhibition titled Expo1: New York. In 2011, Villar-Rojas represented Argentina in the Venice Biennale with his project Ahora Estaré con Mi Hijo (Now I Will Be with My Son). His large-scale sculptural installations—like this one now on display and created with apparently unfinished and cracked pieces—are the result of a constant inquiry into matter through the use of clay, cement and wood.
