The castle where Pablo Picasso is buried will open to the public.

Heiress to the Château de Vauvenargues and Picasso¿s step-daughter, Catherine Hutin agreed to open her castle to the public. For a period of six months Picasso¿s admirers will be able to visit the place and see where the painter was buried. Picasso bought this castle in 1958. It is said he purchased this state, located on the Sainte-Victoire Mountain, after finding out that it had been the subject in several of Cézanne¿s paintings. Picasso¿s studio remains as the artist left it. The castle will be open to the public at the same time the Picasso-Cézanne exhibit, at the time Granet Museum in Aix-en-Provence, will be inaugurated. This exhibit will open from May to September of next year.
