The Fundació de les Arts i els Artistes announces its 6th painting and sculpture competition "Figuratives 11."
The deadline to submit all applications is May 31, 2011. Submissions must be entered online at the Foundation¿s official webpage. Once the paperwork is submitted, participants will receive an e-mail confirming the participation. Josemanuel@agepost.es Participants who live outside Spain are advised to send their work before May 15 to the Madrid address. Participant artists may only submit one original work, but can do so in the two modalities available. The specification for the works is as follows: Paintings must be sent without glass or frame and cannot be smaller than 60 × 60 cm. (23.62 × 23.62 in.), nor be larger than 300 × 300 cm. (118.11 × 78.74 in.). There is no weight limit for sculptures, but it cannot be over 200 cm (78.74 in.) at its longest side, nor be under 50 cm. (19.68 in.) at its shorter side¿these measurements do not consider the pedestal. Although the work has to be catalogued as figurative art, participants may use any artistic technique and theme. "Figurative 11" will allocate the prizes the following way: 44,000 for the sculpture modality, 36,000 for the painting modality, and 120,000 for acquisitions. More information available at
