The Castellón de la Plana municipal government announces the fourth edition of the Hàbitat Artístic Castelló Fellowships.
Hàbitat Artístic Castelló offers 4 fellowships: 2 for artists who are Spanish nationals, and 2 for foreign artists who are not residents of Spain. The fellowships are for projects on any subject within the parameters of current artistic practice in all its disciplines: painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, video, graphic art, installation, video-art, electronic art, as well as multidisciplinary projects.
Candidates must fulfill, among others, the following requirements: age between 23 and 40 years old on the date of submission; if foreign, verifiable proficiency in the Spanish language; experience and a verifiable track record in the arts. The competition is not open to prior recipients of the Hàbitat Artístic Castelló fellowships offered by the Castellón municipal government.
The fellowship will be for six months between November, 2013 and April, 2014 (inclusive). Within a month after the fellowship period, a group exhibition will be held featuring all the completed works.
The maximum amount provided with each fellowship will be:
-For foreign nationals: €9,600.00, paid out in monthly installments of €1,600.00 (minus the corresponding fiscal deductions).
-For Spanish nationals (residing in the Castellón province or in any other province of Spain): €6,900.00, paid out in monthly installments of €1,150.00 (minus the corresponding fiscal deductions).
