CaixaForum Madrid will survey the 25 years of the artistic trajectory of Miguel Barceló. Organized by Obra Social "La Caixa," the exhibition will not solely celebrate the achievements during the past 25 years of this internationally renowned artist, but will also offer the public the opportunity to understand the personal mystery, adrenaline, and uncertainty involved in his creative process. This exhibition is key to experiencing Barcelo's work in a coherent and exciting fashion "140 are included in this exhibition, which include works on canvas created during the 1980s to the most recent pieces, in addition to his pottery and sculpture works, watercolors, drawings, books, and a traveling workbook. All of these works underscore the rhythm and diversity of his trajectory. The goal is that the public be able to absorb Barcelo's work as an experience. To that effect, the artist was personally involved in the selection of the pieces, and also loaned some paintings from his private collection, effectively converting the exhibition into not so much a retrospective, but a truly remarkable event. The exhibition will remain open until June 13, 2010.
