The Asociación Cultural MoCA presents the 12th edition of the International Arte Laguna Award aimed at promoting, showcasing and projecting contemporary art at the international level. The call will remain open until November 16 of 2017 so artists worldwide can submit their proposals in the following areas: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and short films, performance, virtual art, digital graphics, land art, and urban art. The jury will be formed by internationally prominent curators, museum directors and art critics, including: Igor Zanti, Italian curator and art critic; Denis Curti, Italian artistic director of Casa dei Tre Oci in Venice; British curator and art historian Nadim Samman; Belgian senior curator at the M-Museum in Leuven, Eva Wittocx; Italian independent curator, Domenico De Chirico; and Spanish director of the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Madrid, Manuel Segade. The jury will select 115 finalists who will be competing to win: •Five cash awards of 35,000 euros each •An important exhibition at the Arsenale di Venezia •Three exhibitions at international art galleries •Three collaborations with businesses •Eleven artist residencies •One sustainability and art award •Three international art festivals •Publication of a catalog The competition emphasizes the international art scene because of the increasing variety of collaborations and opportunities that it offers to artists, and because the event has been recognized by the President of Italy and sponsored by Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, the Region of Veneto, the Municipality of Venice, the Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, and the El Istituto Europeo di Design, among others.
