Description
Galería Habana was founded in 1962 with the objective of promoting and selling Cuban art, nationally and internationally. It was the first gallery created after the Revolution. Since its beginning, the space was recognized as the home of the Cuban avant-garde, exhibiting works by relevant authors in the history of modern art such as Wifredo Lam, René Portocarrero, Mariano Rodríguez and Amelia Peláez.
At present, Galería Habana represents established and mid-career Cuban artists, whose work in the art world and international projection are in tune with contemporary artistic practices. Every year...
