XIV Premio Federico Jorge Klemm a Las Artes Visuales 2010 (Fourteenth Federico Jorge Klemm Visual Arts Prize 2010)

The Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation invites visual artists to participate in the Fourteenth Federico Jorge Klemm Visual Arts Prize, with works created in any technique or medium and not larger than 2 x 2 meters (6.56 x 6.56 feet). Works requiring attachment to the wall can be up to 60 cm deep (23.62 inches). The call is open to Argentine artists, either born in Argentina or naturalized, as well as to foreigners who reside in Argentina. Artists interested in participating must submit the following: One photograph of the work or the project that they will be participating with; two photographs of two other works created within the last two years with their respective information labels, and an Artist CV. In the case of works that are a project, the following information must accompany the proposal: a sketch; dimensions; materials, etc. A CD must be also be submitted when necessary. Any information not included in the call's application guidelines will not be accepted. All proposal portfolios must be submitted no later than September 3, at the Foundation headquarters located at: Marcelo T. de Alvear 626, C1058AAH, Buenos Aires, from Monday through Friday, between 12 pm and 6 pm. Paperwork sent by mail will only be accepted during the aforementioned dates. The prizes are as follows: First Acquisition Prize: $25,000.00 Second Acquisition Prize: $15,000.00 Two Non-acquisition Mentions: $2,000.00 each. The selection and prize jury will include Rodrigo Alonso, Mercedes Casanegra, Elena Oliveras, Julio Sánchez, and Osvaldo Svanascini. The proposals selected will be exhibited in the halls of the Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation.
