XIV Concurso Fotográfico Foto Labrador ((14th Foto Labrador Photographic Competition)

Organized by Caja Cantabria and the Municipal Government of Torrelavega, the call for participation in the 14th Foto Labrador Photographic Competition is now open to any professional or amateur photographers who ¿ as the only condition of the event ¿ must agree to transfer the rights of the works they submit for publication, or to any additional requirements concerning the event on which organizers may decide. The photographs may cover any theme, must be in color, and must have never before been submitted in another competition. Presentation of the photographs will be subjected to the different phases of the competition. Ten monthly prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a 30 by 45cm print of the competing works, finished in foam and laminated, and a diploma for all the finalists of a given month. The prizes will be distributed in the following manner: one prize of 60.00 Euros to the best monthly photograph; a third prize in the final of 120.00 Euros plus a trophy; a second prize in the final of 240.00 Euros plus a trophy, and a first prize in the final of 360.00 Euros plus a trophy from the honorable Municipal Government of Torrelavega. There will be a total of 10 monthly finalists and 60 finalists for the grand final. Exhibition of the best photographs will be held during the second week of the following month, and the exhibition with the finalist works will be carried out from June 5 though the 29, 2010 at CN FOTO (National Center of Photography) in Torrelavega. The final winning works will be announced on June 5, 2010, and the awards will be presented at CN FOTO on the day after the participant has shown proper identification. There will also be a prize drawing for a camera in which all contestants may participate. The deadline to submit all photographs is April 30.
