The call for entries to the Varioletto Foundation Prize is now open. The Prize is offered for the production and exhibition of 25 artistic projects. Each of the projects will be supported with a budget of US$1,000 to cover its production, transportation, display, and any other costs.
These grants will be given to selected artists in Argentinean currency, according to the Banco de la Nación Argentina exchange rate on the day of selection. The 25 projects selected will participate in a joint exhibition at the Faena Arts Center's Sala Molinos.
The call is open to projects in any artistic discipline and/or to interdisciplinary projects (installation, performance, painting, sculpture, photographs, works including design and architecture, film and video works, and any hybrid between these disciplines). Projects will be valued by the significance of their conception about the site of their exhibition and their resolution with available resources (budget and physical characteristics of the space, to be shared with 24 other works).
Performance-art or theatrical works requiring performance are welcome, provided they include mechanisms for their permanent exhibition. Below, find the submission form to be completed in order to participate.
Submissions will be accepted through May 15th. For more information, visit http://www.fundacionvairoletto.org/premios.html
