Collector and President of the arteBA Fundación, Alec Oxenford, announced the opening of the first call for Argentinean artists who wish to travel abroad for educational or professional reasons.
The grants cover the purchase of round trip airplane tickets that leave from Argentina. The purchase of the airplane tickets will be processed by the Collection.
The call offers four grants that will be announced during the first two weeks of December of the current year. Each applicant must submit a single PDF document, with numerated pages, with the following information:
1. Personal information: Name and last names, Official government issued photo ID card of passport (if the destination is not a neighboring country) and date of birth. Applicants must present only valid IDs or passports, along with any other paperwork required by the destination country and contact information.
2. A C.V. that does not exceed two pages and that includes the applicant’s educational background and artistic trajectory.
3. A maximum of 10 photographs of recent works.
4. The travel destination and the ideal dates for the roundtrip ticket.
5. The deadline (if any) to confirm the Grant or commitment.
6. A 300-600 word letter that describes the applicant’s reasons for the trip, underscoring its objective, duration, along with any invitations or institutional relationships that make it possible (if any). A description of the activity planned during the trip: studies (institution/course/duration), residence (institution/duration), exhibition (title/exhibition/institution), and/or educational trip (city/biennial or exhibition to visit).

The 2013 grant will accept only applications in which the intended time to travel commences on or after January 1, of 2014. The deadline to enter all applications is December 1, 2013.
