The Art and Decoloniality Festival (FAD) is a stage for the exchange and dissemination of decolonial aesthetics that promote dialogue through artisticity practices which question the imageries and logics of colonial thought. In its third edition, the event is organized by Nodo Cultural Animal Simbólico and the Museo Colonial de Bogotá and will take place from October 12 to November 3. Centered on two lines of action, exhibition and Academia, the calls of the Festival are open to professionally trained or self-taught artists of legal age and of any nationality, including students, teachers, researchers, cultural promoters, historians, curators, mediators, and anyone whose work in connected to any of the different artistic areas. Co-Curatorship Call This call aims at supporting the artistic management and production of the in situ group exhibition of the Art and Decoloniality Festival. A collaborative team will be formed that will be integrated by guest experts, representatives of the Museo Colonial, and a candidate selected through an open call. The general rules and requirements of the call are: •Application for the call will be from April 19 to May 30. •Candidates may develop co-curatorial proposals articulated with the FAD project. •Museography support will be made available for the mounting and unmounting of the works. •A certificate of participation as co-curator will be granted. It proposes the intervention of the installations, mechanisms, and curatorial narrative of the Museo Colonial, through decolonial artistic proposals that generate counter-narratives and symbolic dialogues between the museographic aesthetic and the works previously selected through an open call.
