As part of the 11th edition of the International Biennial of Photography Tenerife, FOTONOVIEMBRE 2011, the town council of Tenerife, through the Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (TEA) and the Centro de Fotografía Isla de Tenerife, call to the "Tenerife Develado" photography competition. The call is open to individuals from any place in the world. Candidates must submit before September 5, 2011, no more than two never -before- published series of five black and white photographs each that center on the island's landscape, but that renounce to the already clichéd horizontal depictions. The images may be analog or digital but cannot be digitally manipulated-except for size and contrast adjustments. Each photograph must be submitted in RAW of TIFF digital format-at 300 DPI resolution-and measure 120 × 180 cm (47.2 × 70.9 inches). A printed version of a fragment of the work in matte photographic paper must also be included, along with a labeled envelope that contains a CD or DVD with the digital images, the work's title, artist's name, address, DNI (National ID Card), email, C.V., description of the project, and a sworn affidavit that releases copyrights over all the works and that authenticates that such work has not previously participated in any other competitions. The material must be sent to: Centro de Fotografía Isla de Tenerife, Av. San Sebastián, 8 CP. 380003 Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The competition offers a total purse of 4,000 euros to the first, second, third, and fourth places. Fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth places are offered a purse of 3,000 euros. Ninth, tenth, and eleventh places will receive 2,000 euros and the 10 places that follow will in turn be awarded a purse of 1,000 euros.
