The Fundación Arte y Derecho announced its call for Proposals 2011 aimed at promoting artistic practices through the sponsorship of visual creations. The call is divided into five categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Design, Illustration, and New Technologies. Multidisciplinary projects will be accepted but must be entered in the category participants regard as the most predominant in such projects. For this year, the total prize money ascends to 100,000 euros. The call is open to any visual creators residing in Spain without regard of nationality. Authors who previously received support from the Fundación Arte y Derecho in any of the three previous calls for Proposals are not eligible to participate. The winning projects that receive financial support must be executed to completion and in a timely manner before December 1, 2011. The money allocated for the call will be evenly distributed among the five categories of the competition. Applicants must submit their applications by July 6, 2011, in person or by certified mail-within the same deadline- to: Fundación Arte y Derecho, C/ Núñez de Balboa, 9, 3º dcha. 28001 Madrid, Spain. Participants must also include the following material along with their application forms: a copy of the Spanish National Identity Card (DNI), or the first page of the Spanish residency permit; curriculum vitae, project schedule and a complete budget of the project that states the financial support required-must not exceed one page-and a graphic dossier with at least 10 images of the participant¿s most recent work; sketches or images of individual works-no more than ten pages long; New Technologies projects may also include a DVD.
