The Pollock-Krasner Foundation announces its call for grants to artists around the world with important trajectories with the goal of financially supporting their work. The grants are awarded to artists with recognizable artistic merit and demonstrable financial need, whether personal and/or professional. The call will remain open throughout 2016. It will exclusively consider proposals by painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper (including printmakers). The call emphasizes demonstrable economic need as a central aspect to be considered. The grant is intended to cover a one year period and it will take into account professional and personal needs, including medical expenses. The total amount granted will depend on the individual needs of each participant. Participants must be actively exhibiting new works at well-established artistic spaces, like galleries and museums. Artists must submit their applications along with a cover letter and images of their recent work. Likewise, professional exhibition histories will be taken into account. During the selection process the artist's career will heavily weight on the selection of winners. The Foundation will not accept applications from craft-makers, commercial artists, video artists, performance artists, documentary and online filmmakers. Nor will it accept works by artists whose main approach is based on one of the previously mentioned categories. The selection will be made by a distinguished committee formed by renowned experts in the field. To learn about the rules and requirements and to apply to this grant, visit
