Simon de Pury, known for his participation in the Phillips auction house, will be launched in October the new online auction platform called "de Pury." The main mission of this initiative will be to introduce auctions of single collections accompanied by exhibitions curated in New York and London. The project is the result of de Pury's years of experience in combination with the trajectory that the partnership with the international gallery and antique dealer Mallett brings to the table. They will also receive financial support from Swiss investor Klaus Hommels, who has invested in Skype and Facebook and who currently sits on the board of Spotify. In an interview with Artnet News, Simon de Pury said that "In many ways the art market is one of the areas that has been the least changed by the technological evolution and it's something that I've always followed with interest.* The first auction will offer about 400 lots from Lambert Art Collection (LAC), which is managed by Baroness Lambert, a friend of Simon de Pury. * Source: Artnet news, Eileen Kinsella, June 12, 2015.
