Master’s Degree in the Management and Study of Contemporary Art MEGAC Toledo Chamber of Commerce and ILAM Foundation

MEGAC was established with the intention of being a competitive Master's Degree among the myriad educational offers for art professionals. The program was created by specialized teachers who have developed a series of modules for the transmission not only of the theory in which they specialize, but their knowledge, experience, and critical analysis of the sector's professional realities. This is a specialized higher degree, current in its approach to contemporary art and focused especially in its Latin American vector, as well as in its managerial aspect.

The program is directed to post-graduate students from Latin America and other developing regions, as well as bachelor-degree holders or graduate students in Art History, Philosophy, History, Fine Arts, Art Restoration, and Cultural Preservation, and professionals in related areas to the valuation and management of contemporary culture or art such as geography, tourism, sociology, architecture, etc. The program offers training towards the Master's Degree once the requirements published online are verified for each case.

This International Master's Degree in the Study and Management of Contemporary Art is offered in conjunction by Toledo's Official Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and the ILAM Foundation (Instituto Latinoamericano de Museos).

To receive the degree, students must complete an approve the totality of the Master's 10 modules. If opting for the webinar-based e-learning mode, the minimum number of webinars the student must participate in will vary depending on each module's teaching load. Finally, students must complete a Final Project, both in its written submission and its defense. This project, for the completion of which students will have a devoted preparation time, must demonstrate the learning acquired in the program as well as potential contributions and innovations in the field, with a view towards the student's future professional performance.

Students will have access to contents developed by the teaching staff and attend seminars and tutorials Through the MEGAC portal. In this way, each student will design and organize his or her approach to the course load, and their individual learning is complemented by instructor-guided group activities. This process makes it possible to stimulate the exchange of ideas, critical thinking, and real-time interaction with professors and with other professionals in the field, which in turn maintains the student's connection with the program and drives forward the achievement of the student's goals.

The program also offers an e-learning mode without webinars, an more traditional distant-learning option where permanent contact with professors is established via email.
