Marithou Dupoux was born in 1948 in Haiti into an artist family. As an artist, she has evolved in the ateliers of Roland Dorcely, Luce Turnier, Jean-Pierre Theard and lately also in Tiga’s( Jean-Claude Garoute). Marithou is known to be one of the most important figures in Haitian art and maybe even in the Caribbean. Arnold Antonin did a documentary about her life.
