Fundación Telefónica invites artists to participate in the MAMbA/Fundación Telefónica Prize. Participants may submit their proposals in two categories. The section Completed Works will award artistic proposals that rely on technology or require technological development, such as single-channel video, interactive pieces-installations, CD, DVD, etc.-digital art-digital photography, imaging- and any other artistic proposals that rely on robotic technology, among others. The competition is open to Argentine or international artists with at least two years of legal residence in Argentina. Any artists over the age of 18 or older may participate. Participants may present their works in person-Tuesday tthrough Friday, from 11 am to 5 pm¿or can mail it to the MAMba administration offices, located at: Adolfo Alsina 963, Planta baja, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, no later than June 20, 2011. The rules can be found at the homepage of the Espacio Fundación Telefónica, or of the Museo de Arte Moderno, Buenos Aires. The First Prize will receive a purse of 60,000.00 ARS. The MAMbA/Fundación Telefónica Prize was created in 2002 with the objective of promoting and disseminating innovative artistic expressions, as well as to generate a space in which to develop productions that, with the help of technology, expand the boundaries of the visual arts.
