List of Artists Selected to Participate in the 2017 Edition of the Whitney Biennial

The Whitney Museum of American Art announced the list of artists selected to participate in the 2017 edition of its Biennial. Opened from March 17 to June 11, the event will be presented for the first time in the new address of the museum in Manhattan. The institution announced the participation of 63 artists who were selected by curators Christopher Lew (from the Whitney Museum) and Mia Locks (independent curator). The list ranges from well established artists to international groups and emerging artists working in the fields of painting, sculpture, drawings, installation, film and video, photography, activism, performance, music and video game design. The participating Latin American artists include: Raúl de Nieves (Mexico), Aliza Nisenbaum (Mexico), Chemi Rosajo-Seijo (Puerto Rico), and Beatriz Santiago-Muñoz (Puerto Rico).
