Latin American Art Auction

The Morton's Auction House will organize a traditional auction of Latin American art in Mexico City on May 31, 2011, at 7 pm. A total of 187 lots will be auctioned during this edition of the event. Among the -mostly Mexican- artists whose works will be auctioned are: Rufino Tamayo (Mexico), Sergio Hernández (Mexico), Francisco Toledo (Mexico), Alejandro Santiago (Mexico), Juan Soriano (Mexico), Fernando Botero (Colombia), Fernando García-Ponce (Mexico), Yvonne Domenge (Mexico), José Rivelino (Mexico), Abel Quezada (Mexico), Roberto Matta (Chile) , David Alfaro Siqueiros (Mexico), Roberto Montenegro (Mexico), Francisco Zúñiga (Costa Rica), Leo Matiz (Colombia), Enrique Carbajal "Sebastián" (Mexico), Gunther Gerzso (Mexico), and Kcho (Cuba), among others. The Morton's Auction House was founded in 1988 and has a team of experts in several fields associated with antiques, books and documents, jewelry, decorative art, modern art, and contemporary art. Due to Morton¿s rapid growth in the Mexican market, a branch was recently created in Houston, Texas (U.S) named Morton-Kuehnert. The auction will take place at Monte Althos 179, Col.
