Jens Hoffmann will be leaving his position as deputy director

Jens Hoffmann, the deputy director at New York's Jewish Museum will be leaving his post, according to a staff e-mail from Claudia Gould, the museum's director. However, Hoffmann will retain the title of director of special exhibitions and public programs at the museum, "while he also pursues projects with other institution." The first of these projects, according to Gould, is as co-artistic director (in conjunction with Michelle Grabner) of FRONT International: Cleveland Exhibition for Contemporary Art, an arts festival that will be held every three years beginning in 2018. The reason for the organizational shift, in Gould's words, is because Hoffmann's "passion has always been curating exhibitions and working closely with artists, and he has recently expressed his desire to refocus his attention more fully on these areas."
