Graciela Sacco

This morning, when Florencia her friend and gallerist (Rolf Art) called me to tell me that Graciela had died, I felt an immense pain. I remember when I saw Graciela's work for the first time at the São Paulo Biennial, I was impressed by the highly suggestive image, the strength and courage of the installation. An image of this work illustrated the article we published in the magazine about the Biennial and soon Graciela contacted us. Since then, every time we met in a city where art took us, we paused to share, exchange ideas and enjoy our company. The anthological exhibition at the Museum of the University of Tres de Febrero Untref (2014), curated by Diana Wechsler, allowed us to fully understand her art work. In her work, political and social violence, exile and the use of new media were some of the characteristics that highlighted it. Friend, artist, benefactor, will be remembered with immense affection
