Founded in 2007 as a non-profit entity aimed at establishing an artistic residency program and promoting its contemporary art collection through the organization of various thematic exhibition, the Fundación Rosón Arte Contemporáneo (RAC) celebrates 5 years of existence.
A recipient of the 2009 ARCO National Collecting Award, the foundation has organized artistic residencies that have so far included the participation of: Caio Reisewitz (Brazil), Jonathan Hernández (Mexico), Tania Bruguera (Cuba), Luisa Lambri (Italy), and Ignasi Aballi (Spain).
To mark its fifth anniversary, the foundation has just inaugurated Monochrome, an exhibition that showcases works by artists Ángela de la Cruz, Tacita Dean, Imi Knoebel, Joao Louro, Iván Navarro, Karin Sander, and D.J. Simpson. The exhibition will remain open until February 9, 2013.
