In an effort to promote the beauty, reflection, emotion and sensibility that artists develop through their works, every year since 1983 the Fundación Focus announces the call for participation in its International Painting Award.
With the goal of promoting the exchange of artistic experiences beyond the borders of Seville, the award welcomes the participation of artists over the age of 18 from all over the world. Candidates are free to choose the themes for their works as well as any pictorial approach. This award supposes a public recognition of the artists that participate in it and fosters the development of their professional careers.
Candidates may submit only one original work never before presented in other competitions or in earlier editions of the call for the Focus International Painting Award. The works submitted must not exceed 200 × 200 cm or be smaller than 73 × 60 cm.
The works selected will be shown at a temporary exhibition in the Hospital de los Venerables in Seville. The winner will receive a purse of 12,000.00 euros.
The deadline to enter all applications is September 19 of 2017.
