Espacio Odeón is opening En busca del tiempo perdido, a project by Kevin Mancera, winner of the first edition of the Sara Modiano Prize, given by the Sara Modiano Foundation for the Arts. In this show, based on Marcel Proust's work, the artist reads aloud the seven volumes of the French writer's masterpiece, In Search of Lost Time. The action will be recorded and made visible as the private, solitary act of reading becomes public. At the same time, the space will feature two exhibitions of works by Colombian artists María Zorrilla and Catalina Jaramillo, developed under the concept of fiction in contemporary literature. The shows will be open to the public through Saturday, August 30th, 2014. These three solo projects shed light on the points of contact between the word and the visual. The shows will be the gateway to a series of roundtables with the participation of writers, publishers, curators, and artists, among others.
