En busca de sí mismo Videoart Group
The Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA)'s Ex Teresa Arte Actual presents, through May 26th, En busca de sí mismo, a group videoart show comprising nearly 30 videos made by 22 artists of various nationalities, all focused on identity as seen from different perspectives.
What lies inside us? What are we made of? How do we see ourselves? How do we remember ourselves? This project uses these old questions as a platform to think, from the present, about identity and its role as a theme in artistic work.
The show, curated by Carlos Jaurena, includes works by Esther Achaerandio, Kristoffer Ardeña, Julia Barco, Maj Britt Jensen, Miguel Calderón, Marie-Christine Camus, Domenico Capello, Karla Carballar, María Eugenia Chellet, Óscar Cueto, Alejandra Echeverría, Amanda Gutiérrez, Yin-Ju Chen, Lukas Müller, Ivonne Navas, Fran Orallo, Joanna Pawlik, Neli Ruzic, Dulce Villasana, Michelle Young, Fernando Arroyo, and Ricardo Velazko.
