The call for scholarships offered by the Educational Program of Fundación Carolina is open from January 9 to April 10. The call is aimed at facilitating and promoting the broadening of university studies as well as the specialization and actualization of knowledge for graduate students, professors, researchers, artists and professionals from Latin American countries that are members of the Ibero-American Community of Nations and Portugal. A total of 529 scholarships and supports are offered by the Educational Program for the 2017-2018 period. These are divided in the following manner: •Three hundred twelve graduate scholarships: for graduate students, from member countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations, with academic or professional knowledge supported by an outstanding CV. •One hundred fifty-four doctoral scholarships and short postdoctoral residencies: both modalities are offered in collaboration with an educational institution from Ibero-America, either to help earning a doctoral degree in Spain; or to improve the postdoctoral education of professors from university centers in Ibero-America. •Twenty-seven traveling scholarships for Brazilian professors. They offer professors, skilled university technicians, as well as researchers working in public organizations in Brazil, a research residence in Spain •Scholarships at the Escuela Complutense de Verano. Conceived for professionals and graduate students from Ibero-American countries who which to broaden their knowledge on subjects within their fields of interest. •Two entrepreneurial scholarships. To allow students to complement their education with a period of practice in technologically-oriented businesses, with the goal of gaining working experience and acquiring practical knowledge. •Thirty-four scholarships offered by the Institutional Study Program: scholarships for Higher Strategic Studies for high-ranking Ibero-American Officials offered by the Centro Superior de Estudios de la Defensa Nacional (CESEDEN), the main education center of the armed forces. The deadlines to apply for the various modalities of the scholarship are as follows: the call for scholarships for the Escuela Complutense de Verano will remain open until February 10, 2017; the call for graduate, entrepreneurial projects and institutional studies will be open until March 6, 2017; and the call for doctoral, short stays and traveling scholarships for Brazilian professors will remain open until April 7, 2007.
