Curators

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Foundation announces a call to find two professionals specialized in 20th century art and/or contemporary art. The candidates selected will become part of the museum's curatorial team and will be entrusted with conceiving and developing content for temporary exhibitions, as well as contributing to the conceptualization of the Museum's artistic program. They will also collaborate in the research, development, dissemination, and exhibition of the permanent collection, and will work to strengthen relations with artists, collectors, lenders and other agents from the art world. Candidates must submit proof of the following: a university degree (preferably in the artistic realm), and knowledge of the theories and practice of modern and contemporary art, as well as having a minimum of 8 years of experience in the conceptualization of exhibitions and developing exhibition programs. Applicants must be proficient in English, while knowledge of other languages, especially Basque, will be a plus. Salaries will be determined by the level and amount of knowledge and experience. The selection process will be conducted in accordance with "Equal Opportunities and Diversity" principles that are part of the global policy that governs the Museum.
