On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, the Museum and the Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa Foundation have opened the competition for the "BBK-Museo Fellowships 12/13" research fellowships. The competition is open to citizens or residents of any European Union country. The goal of the fellowships is circumscribed to: -Monographs and a catalogue raisonné around the work of: Ricardo and Ramiro Arrué, Quintín de Torre, Higinio Basterra, Moisés de Hierta, Ricardo Inurria, Juaquín Lucarini, Álvaro Alcalá Galiano, Juan José Landa, and Ernesto Pérez Orúe. -Studies on the Museum¿s collection, exile and repatriation -Painting and mural decoration in the Basque country in the Twentieth Century (1900-1936 and 1936-1978). -Interviews with contemporary Basque artists represented in the museum. Life and work, script, recording, etc. Interested candidates must present, by November 15th, 2011, three copies of the application form (found in the web page), a CV, an outline of the project, the explicit conformity of the project¿s director (in case the fellowship is granted to the candidate), and academic certifications and higher education degrees.
