Backseries Jóvenes Artistas 2009-2010

Back Copyright Series opens its first ever serigraphy call aimed at promoting the creation and production of works by five young serigraphy artists. All national and international artists of legal age who are residents of Spain can participate. The call began accepting proposals September 1, and the deadline for all submissions will be October 26. Each artist may present a proposal no larger than 50 by 70 cm (horizontal or vertical). A CD/DVD of the artwork must be sent along with the completed application form in a sealed envelope to Backseries Gallery & Shop, C/Bretón de los Herreros 4, 46003 Valencia, Spain, or e-mailed to info@backseries.com in care of Convocatoria Serigrafías. A low-resolution jpg formatted copy of the design must be included. The announcement of the five selected works will be made on November 2, 2009, on the gallery¿s homepage. A limited edition of the serigraphies will be produced on 350 gsm Somerset paper. Backseries will cover the production costs and the works selected will be exhibited at the Backseries Gallery at undetermined intervals, during a period of 18 months, with the goal of promoting the works by the selected artists.
