3rd International Festival of Video Art (FIVA)

The third edition of the International Festival of Video Art will take place in November of 2013. It will include a jury formed by important personalities from the world of international contemporary art, including: Clara Garavelli (Argentina), Laura Baigorri (Spain) and Carlos Trilnich (Argentina). FIVA will be presented at the Jorge Luis Borges Hall of the Biblioteca Nacional.

Candidates may choose any theme for their proposals. Registering is free and the call is open to any artists from any place in the world who is 18 years or older. Each artist or group of creators may present up to two works. Video installations will not be accepted. Likewise, any works created before 2011 or works that have previously participated in earlier editions of the event will not be accepted. Proposals can be submitted in digital formats like DVD, AVI, MOV, MP4 or MPEG.

All works must be in Spanish or with Spanish subtitles. Presented in digital format all the proposals will become part of the Festival archives and will be used in non-profit cultural presentations and as part of the event.

Candidates may submit their works online, by mail or in person. The deadline to present the material is August 16, 2013. Only those works—sent by mail—postmarked before that date will be accepted.
